Client's need

The client wanted to offer a new innovative tool for its stakeholders that improved cooperation between students and educational institutions.

About the project

The Smart Education and Employment Platform (SEEP) offers young people and students the opportunity to find suitable internships. The platform includes organizations from different fields of education and workplace representatives which together enable cooperation projects that develop young people's skills and prepare them for working life. A version for developing countries was developed by Codeshares and the basic developers are young people themselves.

Codeshares’ solution

Codeshares implemented the SEEP platform with a modern React/Node JavaScript-stack. The core idea was to keep the platform easily expandable and modular, so it could be adjusted to fit the needs of various institutions and fields of work. The implementation revolves around easy-to-use portfolio and profile components, and extra attention was paid to ensure that the software remains operable even with unstable network conditions. A core feature is also an embeddable component that can be used to demonstrate the created portfolios in the users’ own website.

Client’s comments

“Overall the cooperation went well and we were especially pleased with the authentic knowledge and insights that working together with a young team of developers similar to the user group SEEP is aiming for offered us. Partnering up with Codeshares was great since the platform's target group is also in Africa and having a team of developers from the same region helped to validate and reflect the use of the tool.”
